The weather warnings and alarms are issued by KNMI and that can happen at any time, even at night. The app sends a message every time a new warning appears or an existing warning has been changed or cancelled.

If you want to receive fewer messages, select a specific region or province for which you want to receive messages instead of the entire country.

For a small annual amount, you can turn off all ads. To turn off the ads, go to the settings in the Weerbericht Nederland app, tap the gear icon to go to the settings. Then tap the “Remove ads” option.

If you have a subscription to delete the ads, it can sometimes happen that you still see ads. Usually this will automatically be fixed within 24 hours.

If that doesn’t happen, you can try the following to solve the issue:

• in the app’s settings, choose “restore purchases”.
• if that doesn’t help, try to force quit the app and then restart it.
• if that doesn’t help, make sure you haven’t purchased the subscription with a different or old Apple ID. The subscription can only be active if you are logged in to the App Store with the correct Apple ID.
• if that doesn’t help, check via this link to see if your subscription is really active. Then you can be sure whether the subscription has expired or not.
• lastly, you can try to uninstall the app from your device and download it again in the App Store via this link. The subscriptions will then be restored.

If you don’t want your subscription to turn off the ads to be automatically renewed, go to the settings (tap the gear icon) and then choose “Manage subscription”.

The App Store app opens and the subscription can be cancelled there. When cancelling, the subscription remains active until the end of the term and after that it will stop automatically.

The subscription to turn off the ads is linked to your Apple ID, and is not limited to 1 device. If you have purchased a subscription to remove the ads on one device, you can also activate it on all other devices by choosing “Restore purchases” in the settings (tap the gear icon).
