Mobile games often contain loot boxes or coin systems to make players pay money in order to be more successful or get higher scores. The more money the user spends, the more successful they will be in the game. This is not only a terrible user experience but also disrespectful towards gamers.
It ruins the credibility of leaderboards and achievements, it’s like paying someone else to play your game and then brag you’re the top player.
To counter the pay-to-win movement, I intentionally make my mobile games play-to-win and use it as a feature.
The badge


I have created a badge that can be used to indicate that a (mobile) game does not contain pay-to-win patterns or systems. The player can only win by trying, getting better, and actually playing the game, instead of just paying for better weapons or more continues.
